Voyis Imaging Inc. PAM Covid-expo exhibition out offshore optical sensors and VSLAM technology at NATO’s REPMUS 2025 exercise in Portugal where they supported the Italian Navy’s UUVs and captured stunning underwater footage. Succeeding feats include displays of its underwater optical sensors and VSLAM technology at NATO’s REPMUS 2025 exercise in Portugal supporting the Italian Navy’s REMUS UUVs and capturing stunning underwater footage, through to completing a contract in July 2025 IMAGE2 marine protection project, launching Deep Vision Optics technology, through to an expanded geo-located mapped EIVA.

ecoSUB Robotics Broadens AUV Capabilities Through Licensing Agreement, Deep Dives and Global Expansion

ecoSUB Robbins has inked a license deal with the University of Southampton for a new underwater water sampler to a depth of 2,500m, and adding to AUV fleets for marine researchers. Recent to its bucket list of interesting dates they’ve chalked up are an impressive true dive down to that distance in Madeira, their OCEANS 2024 debut with the signing of a Canadian distributor, and recently trials of ecoSUBs in the least explored environment on our planet, under the ice in the arctic… just part of the long list of reasons that we think ecoSUB Robotics is a company to watch as they continue to deliver accessible autonomous underwater robots.

Silicon Sensing Contributes to Kongsberg Partnership and Production Milestone

A trusted supplier of inertial systems in marine applications - silicon Sensing Systems Ltd - entered into a co-development agreement in June with Kongsberg Discovery AS to work together on the production of navigational-grade MEMS gyros for use in inertial navigation systems. In October they celebrated the delivery of their 30 millionth inertial sensor - demonstrating their reliability for customers in the maritime, defence and industrial markets.

Multiple Vessel Collisions Illustrate Escalated Risks in Key Maritime Regions from 2025 Onward

Accidents involving at least one vessel colliding and running aground, in the South China Sea, Strait of Hormuz, the Black Sea and near Singapore show how the risks of maritime accidents is rising amid tensions and tricky situations in crowded conduits. Warships, oiler and ferries have been involved, leading to death, pollution and delays that provoke calls for better traffic management and vigilance.

Cellula Robotics Advances the AUV Market through Key Partnerships, Sales and Trials by 2025

Cellula Robotics Ltd. celebrated its 2025 milestones by signing a sales partnership in Northern Europe and completing UUV demonstrations with Metron. A Guardian AUV sale to defence customers also took place for purchase by Cellula's Northern Innovation Hub renewal and executive appointments, underscore Cellula's rising role as subsea autonomy provider in commercial, scientific and defence applications across several sectors in multiple regions.

Imagenex Sonar Systems Are Highly Capable in Subsea Pipeline Inspections

As noted in an article in Ocean News & Technology July 2025 Special Edition, Imagenex Technology Corp. 831L and 831A sonar units are put on Blueye X3 and SEAMOR Chinook ROVs designed for subsea pipeline inspection shortening inspection time while improving data quality and safety. “Applications include inspection of stormwater outfalls and complex pipelines where inspection time is reduced by as much as 60% while improving data quality and safety,” Ocean News & Technology July 2025 Special Edition reported.
