Training Partnerships and Industry Expansion in November 2025.

In November 2025, ROMOR Ocean Solutions expanded their training partnerships and industry presence in Nova Scotia. By increasing collaborations to offer specialized ocean technology training sessions for its students and increasing its service offerings such as mooring design, hydrographic surveys, instrument integration, they successfully expanded their mooring design, hydrographic surveys and instrument integration offerings.

This move fits with ROMORs commitment to project mobilization, in-house maintenance and custom engineering. Recent staff additions--such as a mechanical engineer--have enabled tailored modifications of off-the-shelf products tailored specifically for client requirements.

OCEANS 2024 Halifax was an opportunity for businesses and institutions to showcase innovations at OCEANS 2024 Halifax.

At OCEANS 2024 in Halifax, ROMOR and its partners showcased the latest innovations at OCEANS. This exhibition and trade show provided the company an opportunity to display capabilities such as recoverable moorings and acoustic systems for oceanography tools.

Demonstrations focused on products like the C-ROM Compact Recoverable Ocean Mooring, which offers reliable subsurface flotation for depths up to 500m. The elliptical design was also highlighted for stability in high current environments.

Coming Soon: OCEANS 2025 Great Lakes Participation

Looking forward, ROMOR plans on attending OCEANS 2025 Great Lakes from September 29 - October 2 at Navy Pier in Chicago. This premier event for marine science and technology communities will provide additional opportunities to showcase advancements in underwater navigation technology, hydrophone arrays and maritime security applications.

ROMOR's Ocean Technology Progress Conference 2017 showcased their ongoing role as an advocate for ocean technology development by working alongside scientists, engineers, and government entities around the globe.

Core Products to Support Recent Activities

At the forefront of ROMORs recent engagements are its flagship products such as C-ROM and C-ROM Plus moorings for oceanographic instrument recovery are located. Offering 80 to 105 lbf buoyancy buoyancies for recovery of oceanographic instrumentation. Additionally, these moorings accommodate various acoustic releases and instruments as well as optional anchor recovery drums.

Additional offerings from Geomar include Elliptical Moorings for reduced drag in currents. Rated to depths up to 750m standard and up to 6000m optionally, as well as flotation equipment, modems, and geophysical sensors, these features help minimize drag.

ROMOR offers comprehensive marine services including sales, leasing, training and new product development - providing our global clientele with support in harsh marine environments.
