Pro-Oceanus Systems Showcases Advanced Dissolved Gas Sensors at Ocean Frontier 2025

Pro-Oceanus Systems exhibited its accurate dissolved gas monitoring products at Ocean Frontier 2025 in Halifax, Nova Scotia in November, and continues to grow its range of sensors for oceanographic researchers, environmental monitoring and industrial applications.

Pro-Oceanus Systems Participates in Ocean Frontier 2025

Pro-Oceanus Systems showcased its dissolved gas sensor technology at Ocean Frontier 2025 in Halifax, Nova Scotia from November 17-20, 2025. This event offered Pro-Oceanus Systems from Bridgewater an opportunity to present its latest innovations for real-time marine gas monitoring to oceanographic researchers, environmental professionals and industry stakeholders.

Pro-Oceanus Systems' participation underlines its dedication to expanding ocean observation capabilities as marine industries prioritize environmental monitoring and carbon cycle research. Pro-Oceanus remains one of the foremost providers of infrared-based dissolved gas detection technology suitable for subsea as well as surface applications.

Diverse Marine Applications Call for Advanced Sensor Technologies.

Pro-Oceanus Systems designs and produces precision dissolved gas sensors for marine applications spanning from oceanography, environmental monitoring and the oil and gas sector to oceanography and environmental studies. Their product lineup features the Pro Series, Mini Series and Solu-Blu Series which have each been engineered specifically to fit specific deployment scenarios or depth ratings.

The Pro Series represents our most advanced offering, using infrared detection technology to measure CO2 gas. Suitable for deep-sea, buoy, and laboratory deployments with long-term data stability of greater than one year for monitoring periods beyond 12 months - these sensors have proven themselves useful for studies related to ocean acidification; methane cycling and decomposition research (MCDR); ships of opportunity programs; air-sea flux measurements.

The Mini Series provides lightweight, compact, and low-power options for measuring dissolved CO2, CH4, and total dissolved gas pressure (TDGP). These sensors come equipped with plastic enclosures rated to 600 meters or titanium enclosures rated to 6,000 meters for deployment across various marine environments. Furthermore, these autonomous standalone units may also integrate seamlessly with ocean gliders or autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs).

The Solu-Blu Series provides long-term in-situ monitoring solutions for applications including aquaculture, groundwater measurement, hydroelectric dams and bioreactors. These compact low-power sensors feature multiple output options including 4-20mA, 0-5V and RS232 connectivity for seamless platform integration.

Leadership and Strategic Guidance.

Pro-Oceanus Systems announced Mark Barry as President and Owner in May 2024, marking an important leadership transition within their dissolved gas sensor manufacturer. Barry's appointment is indicative of their continued growth within marine technology sector.

The company remains engaged with the oceanographic research community and continues supporting initiatives focused on monitoring and verifying ocean carbon dioxide removal (CDR), furthering climate science and environmental assessment capabilities.
