Genoa Design International and Seaspan Shipyards announced in October 2025 their agreement on technical design services contract for Canada's heavy polar icebreaker project. Through this partnership, Genoa will grow its workforce of naval architects and marine systems designers to 100-plus - continuing a trend of supporting Canadian maritime infrastructure development.
