Teledyne Marine, encompassing technologies from Teledyne TSS, continues to lead in maritime innovation with multiple product launches and event participations throughout 2025. These developments focus on enhancing underwater surveying, navigation, and data transmission for ROVs, AUVs, and surface vessels.
Launch of Ocean Business 2025 Product.
At Ocean Business 2025 in Southampton, Teledyne Marine introduced several cutting-edge solutions. The SeaBat T51-S multibeam echosounder, designed for ROV and AUV deployment, operates at depths up to 6,000 meters in a pressure-rated housing. It offers exceptional data quality, minimal false detections, and resolution detecting objects as small as 0.3 meters, with a 170-degree swath width at 800 kHz for efficient seabed coverage. Integrated Tracker technology automates real-time sonar adjustments. The Workhorse Proteus ADCP from Teledyne RD Instruments features a fully linear receiver for precise water column profiling, bottom and surface tracking, and a gyro-stabilized AHRS for 3D georeferencing on dynamic platforms. It supports onboard edge processing for real-time, low-bandwidth applications, delivering data on currents, turbulence, and particle distribution.BlueStreamX2 upgrades Benthos Acoustic Modems in the WideBand C frequency, doubling data rates to 4,800 bits per second across ATM, CM, UCM, and UTS systems. It expands bandwidth to 10 kHz for faster transmission over extended distances. The Intrepid System, a GNSS INS solution for SeaBat ASV vessels, simplifies setup with unified UI, outputs s7k format data, and supports RTK corrections including NTRIP and Fugro MarineStar services. Teledyne Valeport also launched a robust pH sensor for accurate marine measurements.
Ocean Business hosts live demonstrations and expert sessions throughout the year, so be sure to stop by!
Teledyne Marine hosted on-water demonstrations aboard the CRC Galaxy (or CRC Voyager in some reports) featuring SeaBat T51-R and Lidar in Vertical Detection Mode for quay wall and multi-path surveys. Dockside demos at HS 02 showcased SeaBat sonars on marine vehicles. Stand T7 provided hands-on access to new products.Expert sessions spanned April 8-10, covering Benthos acoustic updates and ropeless fishing (Carl Mancuso), Workhorse Proteus introduction (Paul Devine), deep ocean survey vehicles (Arnar Steingrimsson), SeaBat sonar updates (Pim Kuus), marine construction technologies (Natasja Verboom), and REPMUS 2024 glider results.
Teledyne TSS Saturn INS Family Preview
Teledyne TSS previewed its new Saturn family of AHRS and INS systems following a two-year development. Tailored for marine motion measurement, it builds on the DMS range like DMS-05, supporting IHO-standard surveys, offshore platforms, and dynamic positioning in all sea conditions.
DSEI 2025 and REPMUS Contract
Teledyne Marine will showcase navigation solutions at DSEI 2025 (September 9-12, ExCeL London, booth S3-110) for naval and security needs. The UK MoD awarded Teledyne Marine a contract for REPMUS 2025 support (September 8-25, Portugal), highlighting glider and subsea capabilities.
Other 2025 Highlights
Teledyne Marine announced a Memorandum of Understanding with BMT on November 6, 2025, to collaborate on maritime solutions. The company also introduced the Compact Navigator for small subsea vehicles and celebrated its 2025 Photo & Data Contest winners. These verifiable events underscore Teledyne's focus on precision navigation, deepening capabilities, and integrated systems for the maritime sector.
