Impact Subsea Receives Kings Award and Extends Global Distribution Network

Impact Subsea celebrates tenth anniversary of rapid growth with new award. Impact Subsea recently received the Kings Award for Enterprise in International Trade after over a decade of global growth and expansion into the underwater sensing market.

Impact Subsea was presented with the Kings Award for International Trade Excellence.

Impact Subsea, an Aberdeenshire-based developer of underwater sensing technologies, was presented with the Kings Award for Enterprise in International Trade to recognize their sustained growth and export performance across global subsea markets.

This year, it was honored to be honored as one of 116 organizations recognized for contributions to international trade - out of 197 recipients - receiving the Kings Award, representing an important step in its transformation from a small Scottish start up into an industry leader for ROV and AUV applications worldwide.

Impact Subsea is proud to have received multiple Queens Awards for Innovation over the years, evidence of continued innovation and commercial expansion over time. Since 2021, Impact Subsea has expanded its product offering of underwater altimeters, echosounders, depth sensors, temperature and motion sensors for marine industry use.

Brand and product leadership in subsea sensing

Impact Subsea has made considerable strides this year to establish its position as a provider of compact yet high performance subsea instrumentation, including its ISD4000 survey grade depth sensor with integrated motion reference system and the ISA500 long range altimeter/echosounder line. At its Kings Award presentation ceremony held today, Impact Subsea received yet another accolade honoring this work: the Kings Award!

Impact Subsea is designed to meet the demands of remote-operated and autonomous underwater platforms, offering user-specific sensor packages designed for navigation, positioning, altitude control and environmental data acquisition in offshore conditions.

The recognition under the international trade category was seen by the company as validation of their strategy to invest in technology development while working closely with regional partners to provide local sales and technical support of its product line.

Distributing agreements broaden international reach

Impact Subsea is expanding its global presence through distributor agreements to bring dedicated support closer to key subsea markets, building on models already proven in parts of Europe and Asia.

Impact Subsea is pleased to announce its selection of Seascape Subsea Technology BV as distributor in the Netherlands and Belgium for their portfolio, providing local sales and technical support for sensors like the ISA500, ISD4000, etc. Seascape has an established history as a provider of underwater equipment systems and services in this region, drawing upon that longstanding experience to deliver comprehensive underwater equipment, systems and services across these territories.

More recently, Impact Subsea has entered into an additional distributor agreement with M2Ocean Solutions in order to further enhance availability and customer support of Impact Subsea products in its designated territory and drive continued export-driven growth as acknowledged by the Kings Award.

Industry recognition and long-term growth trajectory

Impact Subsea states that its latest royal recognition comes as the result of rapid expansion over the past 10 years, during which its product offerings have evolved into an established portfolio that can be found across offshore energy, ocean science and defence projects.

Marine Technology Reporters MTR100 listing, being recognized among its top marine technology companies for nine consecutive years, further solidifies its presence within the global subsea technology community.

Management has presented the Kings Award as a tribute to the hard work of its team and partners worldwide, signalling an intention to invest further in underwater sensing capabilities while supporting UK and global subsea industries.
