AxSUB Joins Forces with Darkwater Vision on Underwater Vision Technology for Commercial Diving

Canadian subsea equipment manufacturer AXSUB Inc. has signed the second half of that deal to commercialise the entire backlog of a complete underwater vision powered by UVAS Technology to Darkwater Vision. Together they will dive into mutual R&D & manufacturing resource submersion in the commercial diving sector in order to make waves in the data acquisition sector in hyperbaric environments.

AXSUB Inc. of Rimouski, Quebec specializes in producing diving equipment including digital video recorders, low-voltage LED lamps, underwater cameras, electronic depthmeters and hyperbaric data acquisition systems. Over the past decade they have developed expertise in custom monitoring solutions for diving applications including hyperbaric systems tunneling equipment testing marine biology applications

Strategic Partnership Agreement between Darkwater Vision and Darkwater Vision.

AXSUB and Darkwater Vision recently announced a collaboration for research and development of an underwater vision product line using UVAS Technology's underwater vision augmentation system, in order to improve visibility and operational efficiency in challenging subsea environments. This partnership seeks to address these goals.

Under this agreement, AXSUB will act as manufacturing agent for products designed specifically to serve commercial diving sectors. Furthermore, partners will share distribution channels to increase market reach while meeting key needs related to hyperbaric and subsea data acquisition where reliable imaging is critical.

Subsea Technology Landscape

AXSUBs partnership coincides with a rising demand for advanced underwater technologies amid rising subsea operations in commercial diving and related fields. Their portfolio supports real-time data capture in harsh conditions while complementing UVAS systems enhancements that overcome traditional underwater vision limitations.

Ultra Maritime's anti-submarine warfare advancements at DSEI 2025 and their ASW platforms launched in December 2025 have garnered headlines of late; while AXSUB remains focused on commercial and hyperbaric applications for nonmilitary subsea equipment.

This development underscores maritime technology innovation, with AXSUB partnerships providing rapid deployment of specialized tools for industry users.
